Free Online Image Compressor
Reduce the size of JPEG, PNG and WebP images without changing their format. Everything runs in your browser, so your photos are never uploaded. Use the registration preset to meet the conference registration photo limit of 250 KB.

Preserved per file
Fits the conference registration photo limit. Searches quality and dimensions for the largest result at or below 250 KB. Target: 250 KB or smaller; quality and dimensions are adjusted automatically. PNG keeps its pixels and ignores the quality slider; if re-encoding does not produce a smaller file, the original is kept.
Need this for your conference pass? The registration form accepts photos up to 250 KB. Re-encoding removes EXIF/GPS metadata and may slightly change colours on images with a non-sRGB colour profile.
How it works
Choose your images
Drop JPEG, PNG or WebP files onto the page, or select them with the file picker. Up to 20 files at a time.
Pick a preset
Use the registration preset for a 250 KB target, or choose a web, social or custom size. The format is always preserved.
Download
Compare the original and compressed size, then download individually or as a ZIP. Nothing is uploaded.
Compressing a photo for registration?
The conference registration form accepts JPEG, PNG and WebP photos up to 250 KB. Choose the Registration photo (≤ 250 KB) preset, compress your photo, then upload the downloaded file on the registration page. If the target cannot be reached without dropping below acceptable quality, the tool will tell you instead of pretending it succeeded.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The compressor runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images never leave your device and nothing is stored on our servers.
Which image formats are supported?
JPEG (including .jpeg), PNG and WebP. Animated WebP and APNG files are rejected rather than flattened. HEIC/HEIF photos from some phones must be converted to JPEG first.
Does the compressor change the image format?
No. A JPEG stays a JPEG, a PNG stays a PNG and a WebP stays a WebP. The file extension is preserved too. The tool never silently converts an image to another format.
Why did my PNG not get smaller?
PNG is a lossless format. Re-encoding it in the browser does not always reduce its size, and can even make it larger. When that happens the original file is kept and the tool says so instead of claiming a saving.
What is the registration photo preset?
It targets the 250 KB limit used by the IPC 2026 registration form. It keeps the image as large as possible while searching for a result at or below 250 KB. If that target cannot be reached without excessive quality loss, the tool says so and gives you the best acceptable result.
